I can think of only a hand full of places and times in the city that represents the magical thing that makes where we live the greatest place on earth.  Any Saturday Night at Rockwood Music Hall is a sure fire time of magic.  Located in the deep dark jungle known as the “Lower East Side” Rockwood Music Hall is the big tree with the secret door.  One of the best parts of this rare and beautiful place is the sound man.  This mysterious sound man can be found in his natural habitat with his legs crossed hanging over the crowd in the upper right hand corner of the room.  The rare and beautiful thing about this sound man is the fact that he is also the owner of the venue.  Why would a venue owner also run sound?  The same reason that good souls want to find a place to play like Rockwood Music Hall… It can be summed up in one word; “Authenticity”.  We have come to find that the right mixture of musical expression and authenticity may lead to moments in life that can make a person happy to be alive.  Come join the secret fanciness with us that is simply known as “A Saturday Night at Rockwood”.
