Life
Four years ago when we moved to this beautiful city, I experienced the Bowery Ballroom for the first time and imagined what it would be like to create something in that timeless room. I dreamed about it. This scary huge music hall is calling out to us like monsters in the night… in the middle of the woods… it says “Play your music inside my walls!” In unison we answered back “yes, we will play our music inside your walls and you will be the perfect size room for all of us to fit inside. For we have out grown all of the 200 capacity rooms in this mighty forest you have called home for so many years.” Then 23 unicorns tried to butt into the conversation and speak their peace about why the number 23 is the perfect number. Long story short…
This music hall is the perfect place for our new show! The magic that happens when you good people get together in a room and the hope we share to make music and moments that will not be forgotten will fill this big scary music hall up from the floor to the ceiling with good things… Who is with me!!?

Every now and then you get to do something you truly love. January 31st at 8:45pm is going to be one of those nights. The boys that make up “The Lion’s Share” are my best friends and Brian Elmquist was a groomsmen in my wedding. On top of all that Rockwood Music Hall is my favorite place to play in the Universe. This will be the closest thing to having a family band that I will ever experience. This show will be special to say the least. Tell your friends and family to come on out to Rockwood Music Hall 196 Allen Street in the Lower East Side. Go HERE for more info. Hope to see you there!
The Studio at Webster Hall
Where to begin talking about Webster Hall. Bob Dylan was recorded for the first time in this place. Al Capone is rumored to have owned it at one point during Prohibition. This place was the first modern nightclub in the country when it was built in 1886. Last year, they opened up a new room called “The Studio at Webster Hall”.
We’re proud and honored to be playing a show there on December 15th.
We’ll be joined by Paula Valstein and James Maddock. $10, 8pm doors, and 19+ only. See you there!

When I first moved to the city, I would play shows at 3:00am in the middle of China Town to about 4 people at a time. During this time I said to Stacy, “Stacy, some day I’m going to play at that fancy Bowery Ballroom place and I’ll give you my word that more than 4 people will show up”. Fast forward almost 4 years later and here we are!!!!!
Never in my wildest dreams would I believe my first Bowery Show would be during the CMJ Music Marathon!
It’s time. We have been secretly shuffling around this city, playing in nice little clubs, walking to our nice jobs, watching the leaves spring, fall, die, and spring again for 3 years now. Let’s show a real New York City Music Hall what we got. If you have ever graced us with your presence before, we would love to have you out to celebrate what YOU have helped US do… MAKE MUSIC THAT MATTERS AND PLAY THAT MUSIC IN A CITY THAT MATTERS, IN VENUES THAT MATTER, AND DURING THE BEST TIME TO BE ALIVE.
Come take a deep breathe with us.
Bowery Ballroom was built just before the great depression. From the balcony, you can almost see the ghosts walking around. It’s going to be a magical night.
